Silence Is Not Golden
Abrasive people never
bother to help you
cheer up about yourÂ
day,
even if you areÂ
falling down aÂ
gruesome rabbitÂ
hole.
Â
In life, our parents taught us to fend for ourselves. To
juggle the chaos of people, especially yourself. And perhaps
kindness is the only known remedy. Yet in this place ofÂ
loneliness, kindness is seen as a weakness. Any sign of your
marvelous childhood spirit and imagination will
never be tolerated by those big shot
opulent hollywood climb to fame bosses.
Â
Perhaps those children at the back of the class were right. Staying
quiet is better than shouting. Oftentimes, dreaming is safer than actually doing.
Reminiscing my past, this place
silences my own thoughts
tinkering, controlling my mind toÂ
utter absolutely —- nothing.
Â
Voices around me insist on silence,
while my mind sketches worlds unseen.
Xeric and barren, the halls may seem.
Yet even here, the heart quietly blooms,
zealous for the day I can shout, free and unbroken.
